General Comic News and Advice

Steve Tyler

Tom Richmond showed us some in depth advice about getting mouths right. If you’ve ever had trouble keeping your subject’s Tubercle apart from their Philtrum and seeing the shape of the mouth, then this post is for you.

And what do you do when you just can’t keep up your comic posting schedule and you need a break? Look at what Red’s Planet chose to do. Capes & Babes hit 500 strips and decide to take a short but well earned break.

Perhaps you would be more interested in creating an animated version of your comic, with zooms, pans and transitions. I think it can be done in a way that adds a little something special to comics; the trick is to refuse to play with all the toys.
