- First I wanted to re-emphasize the call for help to Josh Medors right up here at the top. Though I am not familiar with his name, he seems to be a very talented artist and a person who is in a very bad spot and can use some help. There is a benefit art auction and direct Paypal donation link.
- Digital Strips reviews Unshelved and Webcomics Critique takes a look at Nerf This, Rock, Paper, Cynic, Housepets!, Drunk Elephant Comics, Blank It, The Home World, Surl’s World, Out At Home, SED, Sandra and Woo, Surviving Retail,The Practice, Pandamonium!, Raine Dog,The Republic of Here and Broken Plot Device. (Whew. That should catch us up for that reviewer.) Meanwhile, 2ce points us toward six comics we may have overlooked. Meanwhile, Storming The Tower reviews Gastrophobia and Side B. The Webcomic Overlook returns from its April hiatus with some thoughts on Bodyworld and Finder and The Lady’s Murder, Vs and Speak No Evil. This Week in Webcomics reviewed SuperFogeys Chapter 2 and Tangents spies out Order of the Stick.
- Illinest, MPD57 and RKB pick their favorite winner and non winner of the Zuda contestants thus far.
- And then Martin Fisher was interviewed by ComicNews.Info and Webcomic Finds is impressed by Dovecote Crest. I also seem to have missed this post about Bengo and Pug from Talkin Bout Comics and I was pleasantly surprised by Brock’s interview on Newsarama.
- Marooned hits 100 strips and Topless Robot brings us some bad ideas for female superheroes. And we learn that the Galaxion graphic novel is available at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival this weekend.
- Thanks to the Webcomic Wire for some great links in this post which exposed me to some new places for webcomic goodness. Check out the other links – including the interview with Ryan North.
- Comics Worth Reading interviews Gina Briggs of Red String. There is also an interesting interview with Madkinbeard, where we can see a shot of comics blown up to stonehenge size in Second Life. That would be a much more interesting way to host our online galleries, among other uses. It changes the way the work is viewed and lets readers play a little, too. Imagine if there were billboards next to each of them where readers scrawled comments about the work.
- The Manga Critic also sounds off about manga translations and whether or not real manga has to be made in Japan, plus the origin of the term OEL manga. And a few other side thoughts like who buys manga and where they get it caught my interest as well.
- Ping adds a new feature to Webcomic Finds.
